Bahrain Tourism Sees Eid Surge as GCC Visitor Numbers Rise

email: online@newsofbahrain.com Manama: Bahrain’s tourism sector recorded strong growth during the Eid Al Adha holiday, driven by an increase in visitors from GCC countries following the launch of a regional tourism campaign, Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi said. The minister attributed the rise in arrivals to the return of entertainment programmes, tourism attractions, and special travel packages developed in partnership with travel agencies across the Gulf. Al Sairafi said Bahrain is well prepared for the summer season, offering a wide range of tourism, cultural, and entertainment experiences for families and visitors of all ages. She added that collaboration between the public and private sectors has helped strengthen tourism offerings, improve services, and attract more events and investments. The minister also highlighted Bahrain’s modern tourism infrastructure, easy accessibility, and year-round calendar of cultural, sports, and business events, which continue to support the Kingdom’s Tourism Strategy 2022–2026 and boost the sector’s contribution to the national economy.
