Morning fog causes 33 accidents in Bahrain

33 accidents with minor injuries were reported on Tuesday from 6:300 am to 9:30 am because of the fog, announced by Director of Traffic Culture at the General Directorate Major Osama Mohammed Bahar.

He said that although the number was within the normal average of accidents, but they could had been prevented through cautious driving during bad weather. He said that the traffic deployment was increased to prevent accidents or traffic jams. He said that a driver lost his way because of poor visibility and entered the opposite lane on King Hamad road and he was assisted by the traffic patrol to go back to the correct lane.

He said that the changing weather in Bahrain requires cautions and following traffic rules, especially avoiding over speeding and wrong overtaking. He also highlighted the importance to keep the safety distance between cars. 

He also urged drivers to ensure the safety conditions of their cars to avoid unnecessary accidents.
