Toddler drowns in swimming pool
Manama : A two-and-a-half-year-old Bahraini child drowned in a makeshift swimming pool set up in her house yesterday. The girl, Noor Ammar, is said to have been swimming in a plastic swimming pool set up in her family’s house in Karzakan.
She reportedly entered the pool when nobody was around. She drowned after failing to force her way out. The Ministry of Interior confirmed the incident on its official Twitter account.
A tweet read, “A Bahraini girl drowned in a plastic swimming pool at her house in Karzakan. Police took the necessary steps.”
According to a resident in the same area, the child unfortunately entered the swimming pool alone when nobody was around. “It was only a matter of minutes before she was found motionless in the pool. It’s not clear how she died, given that the swimming pool isn’t very high,” the resident added, stating that her parents were shattered by her death.
