1 Killed, 6 Injured in Suspected Drone Strike Near Peshawar

Peshawar: A woman was killed and six members of the same family were injured in a suspected drone strike in the Hassan Khel subdivision on the outskirts of Peshawar late Tuesday night, local sources said.
The strike hit the Pastawana area, leaving seven family members injured. The woman, who was initially reported to be in critical condition, later died from her injuries, according to local residents.
Two people, identified as Sher Mast and his 15 year old son, remain under treatment at Lady Reading Hospital, while the remaining injured family members have been discharged.
A local elder from Hassan Khel confirmed that the woman who died was Sher Mast's daughter-in-law.
The incident comes months after another suspected drone strike in April damaged a mosque in the Chandoka area along the Peshawar-Kohat border. No casualties were reported in that earlier strike.
