HH Shaikh Khalid awards champions of schools football event

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), deputised His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, to attend the final match of the Nasser bin Hamad Football Tournament for Secondary Schools 2023-2024.

The tournament was organised by the Education Ministry, SCYS, GSA and the Bahraini Football Association.

Also present were His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the GSA Deputy Chairman, Education Minister Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, GSA CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar, and other officials.

The match was won by Nasser Vocational Training Centre (NVTC) with a result of 2-0 against East Riffa Secondary School for Boys.

HH Shaikh Khalid presented the tournament trophy to the NVTC team and honoured the East Riffa Secondary School for Boys for winning second place.

Al Hidaya Al Khalifia Secondary School for Boys won third place. The British School team were also recognised with the ideal team trophy.
