Bahrain Ready for Asian Para-Taekwondo Championships

The Bahrain para-taekwondo team has arrived in Ulaanbaatar to compete in the Asian Para Taekwondo Championships and the qualifiers for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games, the Bahrain Taekwondo delegation said.
The Bahraini squad reached the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar on Friday as preparations intensified ahead of the continental event, which also serves as a qualifying pathway for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
Both Bahraini athletes, Ibrahim Radwan (under-63kg) and Menan Jouzi (under-47kg), successfully passed official weigh-ins, confirming their readiness for competition.
The 11th edition of the Asian Para Taekwondo Championships brings together 100 athletes from 17 national federations, while the Paralympic qualification tournament features 87 athletes from 18 national federations.
Bahrain is scheduled to begin its campaign today in the continental championships, before competing in the qualification rounds tomorrow.
The team’s participation follows an intensive training camp in South Korea, where the athletes engaged in sparring sessions with members of the Korean national team and Kyung Hee University squad under coaches Tawfiq Nuaiser and Fajer Al-Binali
Bahrain’s delegation said it is aiming for a strong showing and to maintain its competitive presence on the Asian stage.
