Manchester City to Launch Club-Branded Residences in Abu Dhabi

Manchester City has signed an agreement with UAE-based Ohana Development to launch the world’s first club-branded residential destination linked to the football club, to be developed in Abu Dhabi.

The project, titled ‘Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana’, will be located along the Yas Canal waterfront and will cover an area of 1.67 million square metres. Further details of the development are expected to be announced as the project progresses.

Ohana Development, a leading real estate developer known for its luxury, brand-led projects, will design and deliver the development. The company is recognised for working with globally renowned brands and translating their identity into high-end residential communities, with the Manchester City brand set to be integrated throughout the project.

The partnership builds on Manchester City’s strong presence in Abu Dhabi. Each year, more than 3,500 children take part in City Football Schools programmes across seven locations in the emirate, delivered by over 50 full-time accredited coaches. The Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup has also grown to become the region’s largest youth football tournament, attracting thousands of players from the UAE and around the world. In addition, the club runs community and education initiatives such as the Healthy Lifestyles Programme, which engaged over 30,000 primary school students last year.

Ferran Sorriano, Chief Executive Officer of City Football Group, described the project as a milestone collaboration. He said the development brings Manchester City into a premium residential setting in a distinctive, club-branded manner, adding that Ohana Development’s experience in delivering design-driven, luxury projects made it a strong partner. Sorriano noted that the collaboration reflects the club’s commitment to innovative partnerships and its deep footprint in the region.

Husein Salem, Chief Executive Officer of Ohana Development, said the project reflects a shared vision between the two organisations. He described the development as a carefully curated residential destination aimed at becoming a long-term landmark in the real estate sector. Salem added that partnering with Manchester City represents a significant milestone for Ohana Development and underlines the company’s commitment to Abu Dhabi, aligning with its goal of creating future-ready communities that support the emirate’s evolving lifestyle landscape.
