Bahrain Olympic Committee Attends Asian Beach Games Media Conference

The Bahrain Olympic Committee took part in the international media conference for the sixth Asian Beach Games, scheduled to be held from April 22 to 30, 2026, in Sanya city in China

The conference, which runs from January 18 to 21, brought together media representatives and officials involved in preparations for the upcoming continental sporting event. Bahrain was represented by the head of media and digital content, Hassan Ali Ahmed, and photography specialist Ali Al Halwachi.

The conference opened with a welcome address delivered by the director of media and broadcasting at the Olympic Council of Asia, who conveyed greetings from the chairman of the council’s media committee. He expressed confidence in China’s ability to host the Games successfully, highlighting the country’s extensive experience in staging major multi sport events.

He noted that China has demonstrated high levels of efficiency and professionalism in organising large scale sporting competitions, including beach, summer and winter Games, adding that this experience would be reflected in the quality of services provided to participating delegations and media organisations.

In his remarks, he said the 2026 edition would mark the second time China hosts the Asian Beach Games, reassuring participants that high standard venues and advanced broadcasting and media services would be available. He added that these arrangements are designed to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for broadcasters and media professionals covering the Games for audiences across Asia and the rest of the world.

The conference programme included a series of presentations and briefings covering key operational areas related to the Games. These focused on media services, accommodation arrangements, transportation systems, competition venues, medical services, nutrition, as well as preparations for the opening and closing ceremonies.

The sessions provided participants with a comprehensive overview of organisational plans and logistical support, enabling media representatives to prepare early for effective coverage of the Asian Beach Games.
