Bahrain finalise 3x3 squads for Gulf championship

The Bahrain Basketball Association has confirmed the final rosters for the men’s and women’s national 3x3 teams ahead of the GCC Championship, which will be held in Muscat, Oman on 28–29 November.

The men’s squad features Bogdan Drakovic, Milos Supica, Mohammed Kowaid and Hassan Fahad. Their selection follows a fourth-place finish at the Islamic Solidarity Games, where Bahrain narrowly missed out on a medal, demonstrating growing cohesion and competitiveness in international 3x3 play.

The women’s team includes Aya Kamali, Bayan Salman, Marian Sameer and Hessa Jaber. Fresh from last week’s U21 Gulf Championship title at home, the women’s team heads to Oman with momentum and confidence. Salman and Kamali played instrumental roles in their recent triumph, while the additions of Sameer and Jaber add depth as the squad aims to carry that form into the senior regional level.

Bahrain will compete in the GCC Championship alongside Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Twelve men’s and women’s squads will be split across two groups, with the top two from each advancing to the semifinals and the remaining teams contesting fifth and sixth places.
