Bahrain celebrates double gold at Paralympic Beach Games in Turkey

Bahrain secured two gold medals in powerlifting at the Paralympic Beach Games in Mersin, Turkey, with Hussain Suwar and Amal Al Fardan topping the podium in their respective weight categories.
Suwar clinched victory in the men’s 72kg event with a best lift of 102kg, reinforcing his position as one of the sport’s rising international contenders. His win adds to Bahrain’s continued success in Paralym-pic competitions abroad.
Al Fardan triumphed in the women’s 45kg category, lifting 82kg to outclass her rivals and claim Bah-rain’s second gold of the tournament, which runs from October 18–25.
The Bahrain Paralympic Committee praised the achievements as testament to the strong preparation and support provided to athletes with disabilities, emphasising the Kingdom’s growing presence on the global sporting stage.
