Bahraini players Ahmed Al Sayed and Sofia Bader have both qualified for the singles finals of the Asian Tennis Federation Under-16 Championships, currently being hosted at the Bahrain Tennis Federation courts.

In the Boys’ Singles semi-finals, Bahrain’s Al Sayed secured a hard-fought victory over Saudi Arabia’s Ali Al Hamad, winning 7-6, 6-2. Al Sayed will face another Saudi player, Ahmed Suruji, in the final after Suruji defeated Bahrain’s Hashem Al Tubli in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. The highly anticipated final match is scheduled for this Friday evening.

The Girls’ Singles competition saw Sofia Bader continue her dominant form, cruising into the final with a resounding 6-0, 6-0 win over compatriot Maryam Al-Abbasi.
