Hatton Gears Up to Defend Hero Dubai Desert Classic Crown
Ryder Cup star returns to Emirates Golf Club alongside golf’s biggest names
Dubai, UAE – Reigning Hero Dubai Desert Classic champion and Ryder Cup hero Tyrrell Hatton is all set to make a triumphant return to the Emirates Golf Club for the 2026 edition of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, happening from January 22 to 25.
The English golfer, fresh off Europe’s thrilling Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage Black, will compete in the iconic event for the 11th time, joining a world-class lineup that includes Masters Champion Rory McIlroy, marking an early highlight of the 2026 Rolex Series on the Race to Dubai calendar.
Hatton, who clinched the decisive half-point that secured Europe’s 15–13 win over the United States — their first away triumph since 2012 — returns to Dubai riding a wave of success. His stunning performance earlier this year at the Emirates Golf Club earned him the coveted Dallah trophy, following four under-par rounds and a one-stroke victory that sealed his second Rolex Series title.
“It’s always special to come back to a place where you’ve won,” Hatton said. “The Hero Dubai Desert Classic holds great memories for me, and the course really suits my game. After an incredible year, I can’t wait to return and give it my best shot again.”
Following his win in Dubai, Hatton continued his stellar form with a top-five finish at the U.S. Open and strong performances at The Masters and The Open Championship, earning him a fourth Ryder Cup appearance.
Beyond the greens, the 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic promises an unforgettable festival atmosphere. Tournament Town will once again buzz with family entertainment, live music, food trucks, wellness zones, and hands-on experiences — offering the perfect day out for all ages.
Fans can still grab early bird tickets, with free entry on Thursday and Friday, and weekend access from AED 75 during the offer period. Children aged 17 and under can enter free across all four days.
For those seeking a premium experience, limited early bird hospitality packages are available. The Dallah Lounge, positioned between the 9th and 18th greens, offers gourmet dining, beverages, and panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline starting from AED 1,890. Meanwhile, The Social on Sixteen, overlooking the iconic 16th hole, returns bigger than ever, featuring four hours of free-flowing drinks and premium dining from AED 625.
Reflecting its commitment to sustainability, the tournament remains GEO-certified for the third consecutive year and continues to champion eco-friendly transport, wellness initiatives, and community engagement.
Simon Corkill, Executive Tournament Director, said:
“The Hero Dubai Desert Classic stands as one of the crown jewels of global golf, and we’re thrilled to welcome Tyrrell back to defend his title. With an incredible field of Ryder Cup stars, Masters champions, and rising talents, 2026 promises to be one of the most exciting editions yet.”
