Major event to mark Global Yoga Day

A major event, open to all, will be held to mark the upcoming International Yoga Day, it was announced. The event will be organised by experts from PROP Yoga and Therapy Centre in collaboration with the Indian Embassy on Marassi Beach. Experts will conduct the yoga session and teach the attendees basic yoga poses.

“Yoga is not just about the poses, it is also a lifestyle. It includes many facets of life including the diet. It is a wonderful thing, which can help one not only relax but also improve the health,” said founder of PROP Yoga and Therapy Centre Ehsan Asghar. Explaining the event further, he said, “The event is a chance for people to practice yoga. Those who are familiar with yoga can come and practice it and those who are not familiar with yoga can come and discover it.

“I wanted to make sure that the event is free to attend so that it can be attended by as many people possible. It will be a session, where we celebrate yoga, it will be a time to relax.”

“We have been doing this every year ever since the International Yoga Day was recognized. It was I who organized the first yoga event in the Kingdom, and soon the Indian Embassy would step in and offer me adequate support. “We are expecting a huge turnout this year.”
