"Bahrain continues to strengthen its position as a leading regional hub for financial innovation and quality investment, supported by an integrated ecosystem of advanced regulation, digital infrastructure and strategic partnerships," said Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).
She made these remarks during a press conference held on the sidelines of the fourth edition of Fintech Forward 2026, which brought together Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB; Dalal Buhejji, Executive Director – Financial Services Business Development at Bahrain EDB; Bader Sater, Chief Operating Officer at Bahrain FinTech Bay; and Mohammed Alalawi, Head of Marketing and Communications at Bahrain EDB.
The speakers said the achievements of Bahrain’s fintech ecosystem were driven by close cooperation between government entities, the private sector and financial institutions.
They noted that the Kingdom’s flexible regulatory environment has helped turn innovative ideas and projects into practical solutions, further strengthening Bahrain’s appeal as a destination for investment and innovation.
They also highlighted the attraction of global specialised companies, the development of digital infrastructure and stronger data-sharing capabilities among institutions as indicators of investor confidence in the national economy and Bahrain’s ability to keep pace with rapid global changes in the financial sector.
