Houthi Missile Debris Damages Kindergarten and Clinic in Riyadh

Debris from an intercepted Houthi ballistic missile fell in Riyadh on Thursday, causing property damage to a kindergarten and a medical clinic complex, Saudi Civil Defense said.

Civil Defense teams responded after the missile, launched by the Houthi group, was intercepted and destroyed. Authorities said established emergency procedures were implemented following the incident. No casualties were reported in the Civil Defense statement.

The incident came as the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced that three Houthi ballistic missiles had been intercepted and destroyed. Two were launched toward Riyadh, while another was targeting Khamis Mushait, according to coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki.

The latest interceptions followed earlier attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport, which Saudi authorities said killed three people and injured 36 others.

The renewed attacks come amid a sharp escalation in fighting involving the Houthis and Saudi-backed forces in Yemen.
