Al Dossary wins showjumping

Bassel Al Dossary won Class three of the adults to take the top prize in the Al Rashid Group National Day Showjumping Championship and organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) at the Bahrain Defence Force Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.

The event was held under the patronage of the BREEF president, Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa at the Bahrain Defence Force Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.

This championship saw the participation of the elite of Bahrain’s riders, who produced great performances in both junior and adult classes with the winners receiving trophies from Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Shaikha Marwa bint Rashid Al Khalifa from Al Rashid Group.

Al Dossary on Cantchino (36.99 seconds) with a clear round took first place over hurdles of 120–130 cms in height, with second place going to Sami Ghazwan who finished 35.32 seconds with four faults and third going to Fahad Taqi (36.43) also with four faults.

In junior one, Ahmed Isa on Kalalambur (32.51 seconds) and a clear round won the class over 80--95 cms and in Junior Two, Ali Hani Al Yabis (36.28) won the two-phase round over 95–105 cms.

Adult one class was clinched by Mohammed Al Johrami (34.39) over 90-100 cms and the second by Ali Isa (38.86) over 105-115 cms.
