NBB first in Bahrain to launch bulk CDMs

National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) yesterday announced launching a new high-speed large Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) for business clients in Bahrain.

The machines, NBB said, have been successfully deployed at various Business Clients’ premises. Accessed by biometric scan, the new CDM allows clients to deposit cash of up to 20,000 notes at a time. Cash is instantly credited to the clients account with no need to visit NBB branches.

Retail customers can also deposit large amounts of cash taking advantage of the 24/7 easy deposit functionality by using their NBB debit cards, the bank said. Commenting on the launch, Head of SME & Commercial at NBB Arif Janahi, said, “We’re investing significantly in ensuring NBB’s platforms and services are world-class and that our clients are gaining maximum value through their partnership with NBB.”

Ali Abdulkarim, Head of Coverage, Corporate & Institutional Investment Banking, said the bank will roll out additional machines soon.
