Sharjah CIty: Sharjah Police successfully rescued a 34-year-old Asian driver on Wednesday morning after his vehicle veered off the road and plunged into the Sharjah Creek. In a rapid response that took just eight minutes, specialized maritime rescue units reached the scene near the Souq Al Jubail area to pull the man from the sinking vehicle.

The incident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the car, causing it to crash through the metal barrier and submerge in the deep waters of the creek. Major Hamad Jumaa bin Hindi, Acting Director of the Maritime Rescue Department, stated that the operations room received an emergency call at 9:15 AM and immediately dispatched divers and rescue patrols.

The driver was treated on-site for minor injuries and shock before being transported to a hospital for further observation. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash, citing a potential mechanical failure or sudden distraction.
