Philippine Embassy to re-open

TDT | Manama

The Philippine Embassy announced yesterday that it will be re-opening to the public today after being forced to close earlier this month after two staff members tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) and a third had come into close contact with an active case.

In an advisory posted on social media, the embassy said it will be resuming operations after complying “with existing Ministry of Health testing and quarantine protocols for its personnel, additional consultation with medical professionals, and after conducting a complete disinfection of its premises”.

The embassy added that it will be open only from 8am to 12noon with limited staff, in accordance with the prescribed working arrangements of the Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs, and to ensure continued protection for its clients and personnel.

The public may communicate with the embassy through its hotline of 39953235, or through its e-mail addresses, Facebook account or on WhatsApp. All contact information is available on its website and social media accounts, including those for contacting the embassy’s attached agencies such as POLO, OWWA, SSS and Pagibig
