Kuwait Reports Drone Attacks on Power and Desalination Facilities

Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced early Sunday that two power generation and water desalination plants were targeted in hostile drone attacks attributed to Iran.

According to the ministry, the strikes caused significant damage to the facilities, leading to the shutdown of two power generation units. Despite the impact, no injuries were reported.

Emergency response and technical teams were immediately deployed to the affected sites, where they worked to contain the damage and ensure continuity of operations. The ministry confirmed that all actions were carried out in line with established emergency response plans to maintain essential services.
