Iraq Confirms Saudi Pipeline Attack Originated From Its Territory

Iraq has confirmed that attacks on a key Saudi oil pipeline were launched from Iraqi territory, with the government pledging to investigate the incident further.

The attacks disrupted the pipeline, raising fresh concerns over regional energy supplies and the potential impact on global oil and gas prices. US President Donald Trump appeared to blame Iran for the attack, although responsibility has not been independently established.

The development comes as tensions also rise around the Red Sea, where Iran-backed Houthi forces have seized a key island and captured a port. The latest developments have increased fears of further disruption to international shipping through the strategically important waterway.

The situation could put additional pressure on energy markets and global supply chains if attacks on oil infrastructure and shipping routes continue.
