The Bahrain Royal Endurance team has once again proven their prowess in the sport, with a resounding win at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia.

The team’s achievement, which came just a week after their victory in the World Endurance Championship, was dedicated to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The competition, which covered a distance of 120km and featured 204 riders from 40 countries, saw Royal Endurance Team member Mohammed Abdulhameed Al Hashemi emerge victorious with a time of 5 hours, 47 minutes and 54 seconds.

The win was made all the more significant thanks to the interest and follow-up of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, according to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team.

His Highness underlined that this latest success confirms that endurance sport in Bahrain is moving in the right direction and is the result of the team’s hard work and dedication.

He congratulated the team members for their accomplishment, which he described as a significant event and among the top endurance championships worldwide.

The Royal Endurance team’s latest win is undoubtedly a cause for celebration, and one that showcases the strength and skill of Bahrain’s endurance sport athletes, His Highness added.
