His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, confirmed that emergency teams have been actively addressing water accumulation since the start of recent rainfall and continue to operate around the clock across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The teams are following a clear operational plan with defined priorities to ensure rapid response to emergencies and to safeguard residential areas, ensuring public safety.

The statement came during a field inspection tour of several areas in the Northern and Southern Governorates, accompanied by Eng. Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, municipal council heads, general directors of municipalities, and other officials. During the visit, the minister reviewed the efforts of emergency teams, the mechanisms for handling accumulated rainwater, and ongoing water pumping operations to maintain smooth traffic flow and protect community safety.

The minister also highlighted the ongoing coordination between relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Works, the Civil Defence Directorate, the Traffic Directorate, and the municipal councils, which contributes to improving the efficiency of responses to any developments arising from rainfall.

In addition, the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs has established a hotline (80008188) for reporting water accumulation in internal streets, as part of efforts to enhance rapid response and address public reports effectively.
