The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced last night the return of a group of Bahraini citizens from Russia. The Ministry, on its official account on social networking service Twitter, posted a number of photographs showing Bahraini citizens at the airport, waiting to board their flight home. The Ministry said that the repatriation procedures were done in coordination with the Kingdom’s Embassy in the Russian capital of Moscow.

The flight is part of Bahrain’s International COVID-19 Repatriation Programme, which is being spearheaded by the Foreign Affairs Ministry in the effort to bring home Bahrainis who have been stranded abroad due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
