JEDDAH: The World Economic Forum (WEF) is postponing its high-profile Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting, originally scheduled for April 22–23 in Jeddah. This decision follows the organization's close monitoring of the escalating regional conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

The Geneva-based body is rescheduling the event in ‘close consultation’ with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning. The WEF stated that this move ensures the meeting takes place under conditions that guarantee ‘full strategic impact.’

“This reflects a commitment to convening the meeting when we can ensure its maximum effectiveness. We remain dedicated to facilitating a forward-looking agenda for the region and will provide updates on the new date in due course,” the WEF added.

The Ministry confirmed it has completed all comprehensive preparations and remains fully equipped to host the summit. The Ministry emphasized that its readiness reflects Saudi Arabia's continued role as a premier global platform for dialogue and agenda-setting.
