The Sikh Community in Bahrain celebrated Baisakhi, the anniversary of the founding of the Sikh order (Khalsa) in 1699. More than 1,500 devotees gathered for special prayers at the Sikh Community Center in Salmabad. Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha and Shaikh Ahmed bin Hassan Al Khalifa were the chief guests for the event.
