CBB maintains overnight interest rate unchanged at 5%

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced a reduction in its key policy rate on overnight deposits by 25 basis points, lowering it from 5.00% to 4.75%, effective September 18, 2025.

According to the CBB, the decision comes as part of ongoing measures aimed at maintaining monetary and financial stability in the Kingdom, in response to evolving conditions in international financial markets.

The move reflects the central bank’s continued efforts to align its policies with global economic trends while safeguarding Bahrain’s economic resilience.
