Al Hilal, NHRA conduct special medical education programme

Al Hilal Healthcare Group held a special Continues Medical Education Programme in association with the NHRA on Thursday at Elite Hotel, Seef, Bahrain. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Sharath Chandran, CEO of Al-Hilal Group, Bahrain along with other dignitaries. More than 100 doctors from Gynecology specialty including few other specialities attended the programme. The CME was accredited by the NHRA with two points and certificates were issued to all attendees.

 Dr Urmila Soman, MBBS, DGO, DipNB, MNAMS, FICOG, DIMS (KEIL, Germany), Consultant Laparoscopic Gynecology Surgeon from Al-Hilal Hospital presented a topic on Minimally Invasive Surgeries in Gynecology. The objective of the CME is to update and upgrade medical expertise, advanced treatment solutions and latest technology to fellow doctors and a new generation of doctors. Dr Urmila Soman is currently working in Al-Hilal Hospital Muharraq as full-time Consultant Laparoscopic Gynecology Surgeon.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of laparoscopic Gynecology and has performed more than 5000 Laparoscopic cases in India and Abroad. She is an expert in doing Transvaginal Tape Procedures for Urinary Stress Incontinence and Laparoscopic Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeries using mesh on a regular basis.q
