In the wake of the cathedral being caught up in flames, and the iconic spire being destroyed, French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to restore Notre Dame to its previous glory.
 
François-Henri Pinault, married to actress Salma Hayek, has pledged to release 100 million Euros from Artemis Holdings, towards the rebuilding of Notre Dame.
 
Shortly after, Bernard Arnault, the Chief Executive Officer of LVMH offered 200 million euros to the reconstruction of the cathedral.
