Ambulance 'refuse' to take brother's body, man goes berserk

A Bahraini man was arrested today after he rammed an ambulance into several cars when paramedics 'refused' to take his brother's dead body.

Though he fled the scene in the Northern Governorate soon after terrorising the scene, police arrested him by noon.

“Northern Police Directorate arrested a male driver who hit a police patrol vehicle and other cars in Hamad Town, while police personnel were dealing with a case in the site,” Interior Ministry said on its official Twitter page, adding that “several policemen sustained minor injuries.”

Sources told DT that the man was a Bahraini citizen and the incident took place near Souq Waqef area in Hamad Town.

“The man drove the ambulance van and hit the police jeep and other cars, causing minor injuries to the policemen before he escaped,” said the source.

The man had apparently reported that his brother’s dead body was found in a flat at Hamad Town.

“He was furious when the ambulance reached the scene, confirmed the death and paramedics refused to take any further procedures until the police allow them to after completing investigations," continued the source.

"However, he was quickly arrested after cops cornered him for jumping into the driver’s seat of the ambulance and rammed cars left and right, including a police jeep that was later removed."
