AMU Advisory Committee gets first member from Bahrain
Alumni Affairs Committee of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) recently announced and formalized an International Advisory Committee for Alumni Affairs. The Chairman of Alumni Affairs Dr Suhail Sabir heads the committee with 20 members across the world.
The committee consists of various alumni of AMU who hold respectable positions and high regards in society. Among other members, Ali Mohamed Akbar Khan from Bahrain also found a place. This is the first time that an individual from Bahrain has been inducted into the committee.
Akbar has been a resident of Bahrain for the last 17 years and has always been at the forefront for many social and charitable activities during this period.
Speaking to the DT News, Akbar said that it was a very honourable moment for him, as he had always been proud to be an Alumni of AMU, which is one of the most prestigious universities in India.
“The consideration taken to induct me warms my heart and instils a sense of commitment and loyalty to serve this institution more aggressively,” he says.
The members from other countries are Dr. Nadeem Train from Riyadh-Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ahmed from Dubai-UAE, Sayed Naved from Washington D.C, US, Dr. Shaheer Khan from Northern California-US, Dr. Masood Akhtar from Wisconsin-US, Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Budshah from Riyad-Saudi Arabia, Syed Ali Rizvi from Boston- US, Syed Perwaiz Jafri from Housten-US, Suhail Ahmed from Riyadh-Saudi Arabia, Syed Qutub-ur-Rehman from Dubai- UAE, Fasihuddin Khan from Australia, Dr. Zargham Zia from Birmingham-UK, Khhursheed Hasan from London-UK, Dr. Mohammad Mansoob Khan from Brunei, Ehtisham Rizvi from Canada, Akhlaq Khan from Qatar, Aley Ali from Australia, Naushaba Tasneem from Pakistan and Abdul Aleem from Sharjah-UAE.
