BBK awarded ISO 27001: 2013
BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has achieved ISO 27001: 2013 for its Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The certification process involved a rigorous audit, which was conducted by Bureau Veritas on all of the bank’s Information Security Management. Lead auditors from Bureau Veritas performed detailed evaluation and assessment across the bank against the criteria set out by the ISO 27001:2013 standard. ISO 27001 is the international standards describing best practices for an ISMS.

BBK’s Chief Executive, Abdukarim Bucheery, received the ISO 27001:2013 certificate from the Bureau Veritas Chief Executive for Bahrain, Zulfiqar Haider, at an official ceremony held at BBK headquarters.
