BTA junior tennis tourney held
The preliminary rounds of the Euro Motors Junior Tennis Tournament, organised by Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA), took place yesterday at the Dilmun Club in Saar yesterday morning featuring competitors in the 8 years and under and 10 years and under categories playing in round-robin matches on the 36’ and 60’ courts designed to accelerate their development.
Each session concluded with all participants receiving a certificate for their efforts with the top four scorers in the 8 & Under event and the top eight players in the 10 & Under category return today todetermine the award winners.
BTA and Tournament Director, Dan Barrie said, “It was great to see so many kids, from first time tournament players to experienced competitors, out there competing and having fun. A big thanks to Euro Motors for their support of this event.”
Results: 8 years and under semi-finalists: Rohan Mukherjee, Boudica Vebeek, Rushikesh Sonawane, Ethan Emerson.
10 years and under quarter- Finalists: Miles Verbeek, Boudica Verbeek, Rohan Mukherjee, Faris Al Toobli, Lizzie Warrender, Essa Al Qattan, Jaber Abdul A’al, Sameer Dawani
