Five jailed for burning tyres
A Bahraini man accused of burning tyres in Sanabis has been jailed for five years. Four others involved in the incident were, however, given only three years behind bars by the High Criminal Court, as they are under 18 years old.
The accused were said to have torched four tyres with the help of unknown rioters on a vital road in the area of Sanabis and fled.
Investigations revealed their involvement in the incident and they were arrested later. Public Prosecution had charged the Bahraini suspects with setting tyres afire, putting the lives of the people and properties at risk, endangering transportation by torching movables in the middle of the road and participating in an illegal gathering.
