Gold Sponsor for WIFB2015 announced

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced Al Salam Bank-Bahrain as a Gold Sponsor for the Women in the Financial and Banking Sector (WIFB2015) Conference to be held on Monday under the patronage of Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women Chairwoman HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa.

The conference, which will bring together more than 250 regional and industry leaders with young aspiring women in the field, marks the conclusion of a year-long campaign held as part of the 2015 Bahraini Women’s Day celebrations to showcase and promote the role of "Women in the Financial and Banking Sector".

Key topics to be discussed and debated include factors shaping the future of women in finance, sustainability and competitiveness and how women can lead transformation and change in the industry.

Featured at the event will be industry veterans who will draw on their vast experience and share insights with the attendees. 

Chairperson of Al Salam Bank-Bahrain HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, who is the first female Chairperson of a financial institution in Bahrain and also Executive Director of INJAZ Bahrain; Managing Director at Citigroup based in London Dr. Mahnaz Safa; Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank Limited Chanda Kochhar; and Deputy CEO of Jordan-based Arab Bank Randa Sadik will attend the conference. 

Commenting, Chairperson of Al Salam Bank HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, said: "The opportunity is there for women to lead the change and grow in greater numbers into senior roles. This event will provide a platform for critical discussion and allow aspiring female talents to benefit from the experience and examples of female industry veterans from the region and around the world," Her Highness said.
