Woman kills mom-in-law for accusing her of having affair
A 26-year-old Egyptian woman killed her mother in law after she accused her of having a relationship outside marriage, newspapers in Egypt reported on Thursday.
Maddened by the accusations during a heated argument at her apartment in the capital Cairo, the woman rushed to the kitchen, brought a knife and stabbed her mother in law many times, killing her instantly, they said.
The woman told police that she murdered her mother in law because she had never stopped hating her and making false accusations.
She said that on the day of the murder, her mother in law threatened to tell her son that his wife has an affair with another man so he will divorce her.
Newspapers quoted the defendant as telling police that her husband loves her but that she was hated by her mother in law for some reason.
