BS Boys shine in tourney
Bahrain School (BS) recently sent Frank Li and Moustafa Refai (Boys’ Doubles team) to Wiesbaden, Germany to compete in the 2015 DODDS Europe Tennis Tournament.
They finished third out of the 16 teams competing. Frank Li and Moustafa Rafai were playing in their final DODDS tennis tournament.
The pair, who finished third last year despite only being together four weeks before the tournament, was featured in one of the outstanding matches of day 1 competition, against Ramstein’s Logan Beckmann and Lance Daley.
Li and Rafai won 6-4, 7-5 in a match in which each point was contested fiercely. “We fight for every point,” Rafai said. In the end, there were three days of matches, three the first day (won 2, lost 1), three the next day (won 2, lost 1); and the last day was for 3rd place - defeating Stuttgart 6-1, 6-0 for third place overall.
