Al Hakam, Ahmed win in Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series
Ali Al Hakam and Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed (nett 28) won the opening round of the new six-week Porsche Centre Bahrain-sponsored Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club this week.
A full field of over 50 players took part in the Betterball Stableford tournament which was narrowly won by Al Hakam and Ahmed ahead of runners-up Ali Al Kowari and playing partner Yusuf Janahi (29) with the third place going to the duo of Rob Mills and Adrian Morgan (30).
Morgan also received an additional prize for winning the nearest the pin side contest on hole 12 while Samantha Hill came nearest to the pin on hole 16.
The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Sohail Singh, the Royal Golf Club’s Tournament Coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Porsche Centre Bahrain.
This series takes place every Monday evening and is a nine- hole competition also open to non-members and tees off with a shotgun start at 6:30pm.
