Prime Minister lauds patriotism of Bahrainis

ManamaHis Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received economic and political figures, media persons, the intelligentsia and citizens at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. 

Paying tribute to the Bahraini people for their achievements and patriotic stances, which, HRH Premier said, will remain carved in the national memory with luminous letters. 

HRH the Premier urged to put the reputation of the nation and its interests above everything else, thwart conspiracies and foil plots to drive wedges and sow sedition. 

He stressed that Bahrain will remain immune against plots to incite division, thanks to the wisdom of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as well as awareness and cohesion of its people. 

He underlined the government’s support to all efforts aimed at documenting the important periods in the Kingdom’s history, highlighting the efforts of the patriotic people to foster the Kingdom’s growth and leading status.

HRH the Prime Minister paid tribute to the Bahraini people for their dedication and hard work to boost the Kingdom’s status, affirming Bahrain’s rich heritage and contribution of successive generations.

“We have to document this heritage and preserve it for future generations to learn the meaning of dedication for the sake of national progress and growth,” he said. He described Majlises as an inherent characteristic feature of the Kingdom’s heritage which was inherited from the fathers and forefathers, urging to preserve it as it embodies harmony and understanding of the Bahraini community that will always remain a model of national unity and cohesion.

HRH the Premier called on to turn the revolution in the information and communication field to best account to serve the development march and foster social unity and cohesion.

 HRH Premier lauded the political and legislative role of the Representatives and Shura Councils in the national march, stressing the government’s keenness on further consolidating cooperation between the executive and legislative branches in order to maximize the democratic gains. 

He also hailed active contribution of the local press to serving national issues, commending the journalists’ patriotism and sense of responsibility.
