Alba sponsors third FAI World Cup

ManamaGravity Indoor Skydiving (Gravity) announced that Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) is one of its official sponsors for the 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving. Organized by Gravity in collaboration with the Bahrain Air Sports Federation, the event will be hosted at the Kingdom of Bahrain in October 2018.

Khawla Alhammadi, Gravity’s General Manager, expressed her deepest gratitude to Alba for their sponsorship stating: “We are honoured to have Alba on board. They are one of the official sponsors for this event and we are excited to see Alba backing our growing sport that is quickly gaining popularity from young Bahrainis and international air sports enthusiasts.” 

Alba’s CEO Tim Murray said: “The company is keen to highlight Bahrain’s cultural, tourism and sports industries as part of its corporate social responsibility. The 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving is the biggest indoor skydiving event of the year and will certainly put Bahrain on the global map and highlight Bahrain’s role in encouraging sports and local participation on an international scale.”

Alhammadi stated that Gravity is proud to be the official organizer of the 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving. By hosting and organizing such events, Gravity aims to build on the distinguished reputation within the sports sector that Kingdom of Bahrain has established.

Gravity has been gearing up to host the World Cup since February 2017 by organizing several local, regional and international competitions and is now ready to host this significant sporting event in the Indoor Skydiving world. 

The facility boasts one of the world’s tallest glass wind tunnels, reaching 12 meters glass in height and the tunnel is renowned by its innovative design and high-speed airflow capabilities reaching 290km per hour, making it one of the most distinguished indoor skydiving facilities in the world.

The 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving will take place on October 25 – 28 and will gather top tier flyers from around the world to compete in several disciplines: 4-Way FS, 4-Way VFS, 2-Way & 4-Way Dynamic, and Freestyle.
