Safety violations: Notices served in Naeem area
Manama : Several landlords and residents in the Capital General Secretariat were warned by the officials there for violating safety and security norms.
The move followed a campaign conducted by Capital General Secretariat officials at labourers residences in the Naeem area.
Inspectors at the Capital General Secretariat, following the campaign, served notices and advised landlords and residents there to rectify the violations immediately.
The campaign, Al Ayam daily reported, followed a series of complaints received against the behaviours of the labourers in the area.
A committee was formed by the residents of the area, in coordination with the General Secretariat, and detected that there are over 300 residences of bachelor labourers in the Naeem area.
The committee also found that several residences were in dilapidated condition and reported illegal activities carried out by some of the labourers there.
The residents thanked the General Secretariat for its quick response and called for more efforts to rectify the issue concerning bachelor residences.
