PM reviews village housing needs

ManamaThe Cabinet chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday reviewed the housing needs, especially in villages where the land is scarce.

In this regard, HRH  Prime Minister was informed about various measures taken by the authorities to address the housing demand. 

Implementing new housing projects in cities and villages are under consideration.

HRH Premier stressed the need to take the nature of the Bahraini society into account while implementing the new housing projects as reflected in the prevailing social fabric in villages and towns.

HRH Premier also requested the Housing Ministry to meet the housing needs of the Sanabis villagers in the nearby housing projects and the Northern City.  

The Cabinet also discussed two proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives on postponing housing instalments, and allocating land lot for services and facilities in Hamad Town, and approved the government’s replies to them, as recommended by the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs, and presented by the Deputy Premier and committee chairman.
