Prime Minister welcomes Thai investment in medical sector

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the government allocates great importance to the health sector, out of its belief in its role in enhancing the treatment services it provides for the citizens, as well as in supporting its efforts to deliver the best services in this regard.

HRH Prime Minister was speaking as he received the CEO and Managing Director of the Piyavate Hospital, Dr. Witit Arvtavatkun, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

HRH Premier highlighted the government’s desire to pave the way for Bahraini competencies to avail of the experiences of brotherly and friendly countries in the medical field, welcoming the policies of the Thai health sector to invest in the health sector in Bahrain, and to take advantage of the strong relations between the two friendly countries to consolidate that. HRH Premier lauded the steady progress of the Bahraini-Thai relations and cooperation in various fields, hailing the role of the private sector in developing bilateral ties through taking advantage of the agreements signed between the two countries in various development fields.

HRH Prime Minister asserted that there are promising opportunities of cooperation between the two countries in many fields that can be developed through partnership between the private sector in the two kingdoms, calling for availing of Bahrain’s strategic location and attraction factors to have access to all regional and global markets. HRH Premier expressed the government’s keenness on encouraging investments in the private sector through providing an integrated system of legislation and facilities that motivate investors to invest in such a vital sector, and support the kingdom’s policies to become a distinguished destination for therapeutic tourism in the region. 

Dr. Witit Arvtavatkun expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for continuous efforts to bolster Bahraini-Thai relations. He lauded the Premier’s support for the private sector to invest in the medical field, praising Bahrain’s progress in the health sector.
