Housing for all tops govt’s priority: HH Shaikh Nasser

Manama : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday affirmed Bahrain’s full commitment to improving the living standards of citizens and achieving sustainable development. 

“Of top priority is the provision of suitable housing for all citizens in order to provide them with a decent living,” said Shaikh Nasser, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, highlighting the vision and directives of His Majesty the King for speeding up housing projects. 

This came as Shaikh Nasser patronised the opening of “Danaat Al Lawzi” project” in the presence of Minister of Housing, Basim bin Yacob Al-Hamer, officials and investors. The project also marked Bahrain’s first joint public-private sector venture in housing. 

Housing is an integral part of Bahrain’s development process for which HM the King is taking solid steps, Shaikh Nasser said in his address stressing that importance is for providing a decent life to citizens. “Housing is pivotal as a social need and an important cultural condition to elevate the Kingdom,” said HH Shaikh Nasser highlighting the support, attention and follow-up given by HM to the housing boom. 

HH hoped that Danaat Al Lawzi would contribute in achieving sustainability while praising the executive steps taken by the Ministry of Housing in implementing the projects.

For his part, Minister of Housing, Chairman of Eskan Bank, Basim Bin Yacob Al-Hamer, said that Eskan Bank is keen in creating and providing housing and financing solutions to citizens, especially for beneficiaries of housing services.
