Youth development vital for long-term growth: CP

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday stressed Bahrain’s commitment towards youth development programmes describing it as “the engine for Bahrain’s long-term advancement”.

This came as the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received the third batch of the FDPM Fellowship.

The FDPM Fellowship is considered an important opportunity for all young Government employees to better understand local, regional, and global changes. Through an extensive series of training and guidance courses as well as working alongside senior government officials and decision-makers, the programme focuses on the refinement of key skills and capabilities that will help improve government performance.

Highlighting the vital role such programmes play in building critical leadership skills, Prince Salman said, “These will work to advance the Kingdom’s sustainable development” in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness was then presented with a briefing on the Fellows’ experiences working on various programmes, projects and initiatives.

HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that the improvement of management and leadership skills among young government employees will help to increase government performance by strengthening competitiveness and productivity.
