ManamaThe Supreme Committee for Haj and Umrah Affairs suspended the Hajj and Umrah services office and warned several others over administrative and technical violations.

This was revealed during a recent meeting held by the committee chaired by Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa.

Committee members confirmed that several administrative, security and technical violations were detected. They stressed that “permitted offices must comply with all the regulations and rules issued by the Haj and Umrah Ministry in Saudi Arabia and the Haj Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain”.

It also stated that 12 offices that are committed to the rules and regulations and maintained a clean record for the past few years will receive an honour in recognition of their commitment.

The committee called upon all offices in Bahrain to provide the best services for pilgrims of the Kingdom, including citizens and residents, and to maintain reasonable prices for their services.

The committee warned the offices of misusing the permits granted to them by the authorities.

It is worth mentioning that there are 52 approved Hajj and Umrah offices operating in Bahrain and providing their services to thousands of pilgrims around the year.
