Santana to perform at Bahrain International Circuit

Manama : Ten-time Grammy winner Carlos Santana is bringing his celebrated Divination Tour to Bahrain International Circuit on April 6, Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) announced yesterday.

Santana is a legendary voice of world music and his ground-breaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion transcends musical genres and generational, cultural and geographical boundaries. H has sold more than 100 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. To date, Santana has won ten Grammy awards and three Latin Grammy awards. He won a record-tying nine Grammys for a single project Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Recordof the year for “Smooth”).

This will be Santana’s first-ever performance in Bahrain, where he will be performing passion-infused songs from over four decades of his career, including his hits from Woodstock to Supernatural and beyond. Rolling Stone calls Santana “one of rock’s true virtuosos and guiding lights” and has awarded him #15 on their list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time

Other accolades received by Santana include a Billboard Century Award and an entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2014, he became one of only two music acts in Billboard history to score at least one Top Ten album for six consecutive decades.
