Information & eGovernment Authority celebrates Sports Day

ManamaIn line with directives of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to allocate a half working day on February 13 in order to celebrate Bahrain’s Sports Day; the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) is organizing a variety of sports programmes and activities for its employees related to the health, nutrition and fitness fields. 

iGA Chief Executive Mohamed Ali AlQaed stated that the Authority has organised numerous sports activities and programmes in order to enhance the perception of fitness for all employees.

The Sports programme, organised by the Authority on Tuesday, comprise walking for all iGA employees at the Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park with the presence of physiotherapy specialists from the Middle East Medical Center (MEM) for females and males. Additionally, iGA will be holding a number of optional educational activities and sport programmes for its employees for an entire week involving several lectures associated with fitness and nutrition presented by the Fitness Instructor Khalid AlBastaki; a lecture will also be given on Nutrition and Health by MEM Nutritionist Dr. Abeer AlGhawi; evening sport classes will also be presented to all employees; along with the Biggest Loser Competition launch to allow iGA employees to compete on losing weight and encourage fitness exercises as well as follow healthy diets.
