Ministry vows to take strict action against price manipulators
Manama : The Directorate of Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism monitoring prices said certain shops in the Kingdom are selling goods at prices other than the “advertised” prices.”
This, the Directorate said, is a clear violation of the articles (5) and (6) of Consumer Protection Law, as well as article (15) of the same law and warned that administrative and legal measures will be taken against violators.
The move falls in line with the Consumer Protection Law No. 35 of 2012 and its executive regulations issued by Ministerial Decision No. 66 of 2014, as well as Law No. 62 of 2014 on combating commercial fraud.
