MPs who pray, pack and leave !!!

Did they seriously not complete their session after the Dhohr prayers, packed, left and went back home?

Two weeks in a row, our esteemed MPs, following the Dhohr prayers which they take a 30-minute break for, decide to leave and only 14 go back to complete the session, a number that does not legally permit the session to be completed since the quorum requires 21 members at least to participate in the session.

Are these people who represent us serious?

Are these people we voted for to raise our issues, defend us and amend and issue legislations that can help us move forward serious about the way they act?

Do they believe that this is something they can get away with?

Do they even know that the majority have failed to serve the agendas they, three years ago, promised the citizens that voted for them?

Do they know that they are on the verge of being replaced by others because they simply failed the people who put their trust in them?

Do they know that their performance has been so disappointing?

Are they satisfied with the fact that they are paid as MPs and that they have a commitment and responsibility they should respect, yet they have failed?

Do they even know that the promises they have failed to keep is what one day they will be held accountable for, not by just the people but God?

It is sad to see someone I, like many others waited in a queue for ,three years ago, to get to the parliament to represent me, take that vote for granted.

It is simply both sad and disappointing.

To take the voters for granted is extremely unacceptable and unfortunately that’s what the majority have done for the past three years.

There is no body that monitors the performance of our MPs but voters will and you only have 11 more months to go.

Many of you would’ve made a living out of their seats and your consciences has allowed you to do that.

What needs to be remembered is the fact that in less than a year people will head to the polling stations again and will not vote for those who have failed them.

And there will be MPs who have worked and served with conscience and they will be the only ones we will trust and cast our votes for to represent us.

It is not fair to generalize and say all have failed because there are less than 10 members who did serve the people who voted for them.

They are the people who stood for us and deserve to occupy those seats again.

So start counting the days until you are gone and remember that those who will be in the parliament again are those who sincerely deserve it.
